Returns & Warranty Policy
12-Month Warranty
yournextit.co.uk provides a 12-month warranty on all products, unless a different period is stated on the listing.
If your item develops a fault within the warranty period:
- Contact us first at support@yournextit.co.uk with your order number and a description of the fault, ideally with photos. We'll aim to respond within 2 working days.
- We'll send you a free returns label by email. Package the item securely and drop it at your nearest DPD Drop off point.
- We aim to resolve all warranty claims within 14 days of receiving the item at our warehouse.
- Depending on the fault and how soon it's reported, you're entitled under the Consumer Rights Act to a repair, replacement, refund, or price reduction — see "Your Rights at a Glance" above. This isn't at our discretion; it reflects your legal entitlement.
Please note:
- Items must be returned with all original accessories and packaging where possible. If something's missing, we may still accept the return but may deduct a reasonable amount to cover the missing item — we'll always confirm this with you before deducting anything.
- We can't accept returns for damage caused by misuse or accidental damage after delivery (this doesn't affect faults that were already present).
- Refunds can't be processed if the serial number, IMEI, or barcode has been removed or tampered with, as this prevents us confirming the item is the one we supplied.
- Refunds cannot be given for any devices that are password locked, including but not limited to, BIOS lock, iCloud, autopilot or other MDM.
- If you report a fault and our inspection finds none, we'll let you know before taking any further action. We may ask you to cover the cost of return postage (currently £10.00) in this case, but we won't deduct this without agreeing it with you first.
Before You Return — We're Happy to Help First
Many issues can be fixed without a return. Before sending an item back, feel free to contact our technical support team at support@yournextit.co.uk — we're often able to resolve hardware issues remotely. This is just a courtesy step to save you time; it doesn't affect your right to a repair, replacement, or refund if the item turns out to be faulty.
Dead on Arrival (DOA)
If your item arrives in an unusable condition, let us know within 5 days of delivery and we'll treat it as DOA — meaning a full refund or replacement, at your choice where reasonably possible. Reports made after 5 days are still fully covered but will be handled under our standard warranty process above instead.
How Warranty Claims Are Resolved
- Within the first 30 days of delivery: if the item is faulty, you're entitled to a full refund.
- After 30 days: we'll offer a repair or replacement first. If neither is possible, or the repair/replacement doesn't resolve the fault, you're entitled to a refund or price reduction.
This reflects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and applies regardless of the warranty length listed on the product.
Warranty Length by Product Grade
Most items are covered by our standard 12-month warranty. Some listings — including Grade C / Bargain Section items — carry a 90-day warranty instead; this will always be stated clearly on the listing. This is a period of additional cover we choose to offer on top of your legal rights — it doesn't reduce or replace your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which continue to apply regardless of the stated warranty length.
Items Sold as Non-Working / For Parts
Some items are listed as non-working or for spares/parts and are sold on that basis. These aren't covered by our repair/replacement warranty, since they're not sold as working items. This doesn't affect your right to cancel the order for any reason within 14 days of delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations — see "Changed Your Mind?" below.
Batteries
All batteries are tested and confirmed working at the point of dispatch, and battery health is stated on the listing where applicable. As a consumable part, batteries naturally degrade with use, and we don't warranty or guarantee remaining battery life or longevity beyond what's stated on the listing. To protect the condition and reliability of the phone, we don't open sealed devices to replace batteries — all phones are supplied with their original OEM battery, which will have some reduced capacity compared to new.
Accidental Damage
Accidental damage occurring after delivery isn't covered by our warranty.
Changed Your Mind? (Non-Warranty Returns)
If you'd simply like to return an item — wrong choice, changed your mind, or any reason not covered by the warranty above — you can do so within 14 days of delivery, in line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations.
- You'll need to cover return postage. A return label can be provided for £10 or arrange your own tracked delivery.
- Items must be returned complete, free of date bearing media including SIM cards, factory reset, with all accessories, and in the condition supplied and free of any password locks i.e. BIOS, iCloud, autopilot or other MDM. We'll inspect all returns before issuing a refund. Items sent in error will not be returned.
- Once your return passes inspection, we'll issue a full refund, including original delivery charges where required by law, within 14 days of receiving the item back.
